What is Turcite?

Turcite is the trade name of polytetrafluoroethylene, a thermoplastic resin used in industrial applications, reduces friction on moving parts and bearings.

Turcite can be scraped and produced excellent lubrication either dry or oiled surfaces. Therefore, Turcite with low friction characteristics is a popular linear bearing material for the machine tool industry and there are many Turcite grades used in industrial seals, wipers, and wear rings for hydraulic and pneumatic cylinders, valves, and other control devices.
